Matthew majored in Spanish—which he plans to teach—with a minor in Coaching at the University of Kentucky.

I have started my teaching career at a high school in Lexington!
What are you most excited about when you think of your future classroom?
Creating a safe and respectful environment in which we can have a positive learning space for the students to be excited to learn a new language.
What activities or experiences would you say have most prepared you to enter the classroom or profession?
Observing different teachers and students. When shadowing different classes I got to see lots of different methods that teachers used to best help their learners. I also got to observe the students and see how they engaged with the material.
