Carlos Salinas is a Language Educator teaching Modern Languages including Spanish, French and Portuguese.
He is passionate about creating engaging language and cultural experiences for his students by using Project Based Learning, the World Readiness Standard for Learning Languages, and SEL/Maker Education.
Prior to teaching, Carlos worked for the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C. and several U.S. Embassies in Latin America and Europe. He was also recipient of a U.S. Fulbright Scholarship, which allowed him to pursue his Graduate studies in Europe.
Carlos is the 2024 NECTFL Teacher of the Year and the 2023 Greater Washington D.C. Association of World Language Teachers (GWATFL) Teacher of the Year.
