LCF/Vista Classroom Microgrants Empower K-12 Educators to Promote Multilingualism and Cultural Diversity

Language Connects Foundation and Vista Higher Learning are thrilled to announce the launch of the LCF/Vista Microgrants Program, dedicated to supporting and empowering language educators committed to fostering multilingualism and cultural diversity in K-12 classrooms. This pioneering initiative provides small grants to educators who are passionate about teaching languages while integrating essential cultural elements into their curriculum.

Open to all K-12 language educators, regardless of their teaching setting, this program offers 100 microgrants of $300 each to fund a range of impactful projects between September 2023 and May 2024.

“Vista is thrilled to be partnering with the Language Connects Foundation on this new grant initiative,” shared Arturo Castillon, Vice President of K-12 Sales & Marketing. “We know how hard all language and literacy educators work to provide the best teaching and learning experience for their students, and so anything we can do as an organization to help support them in their work is amazingly rewarding.”

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis, allowing unsuccessful applicants from one cycle to reapply later in the school year. Applications are currently being accepted for the first of three funding cycles: September 1 to November 15 with awards be announced at the 2023 ACTFL Annual Convention and World Languages Expo. Subsequent microgrants will be awarded on February 15, 2024, and May 15, 2024.
