MacKenzie is a nonprofit professional with over 20 years of experience in the field. She is currently the Director of Finance and Operations for ACTFL, LCF’s parent organization. She has held leadership positions in finance and operations in a variety of nonprofit and public benefit corporations.
MacKenzie holds a Ph.D. in Public Administration from Old Dominion University where her dissertation was titled, “Why Do Nonprofits Fail? A quantitative Study of Form 990 Information in the years Preceding Closure.” In addition, she holds an MBA from Georgetown University in Washington, DC.
She studied abroad in Valencia, Spain, as an undergraduate and values experiencing and learning from other cultures.
