Some Fun Facts About Renée

  • Theme Song: Mi Testimonio (Elevation Worship)
  • Happy Place: Anywhere I can practice my Spanish!
  • Favorite Word in Another Language: Googlear – to google (it's my favorite because it shows how language evolves over time and adapts to our needs!)
  • Study Abroad: Salamanca, Spain

What are you most excited about when you think of your future classroom?

I am most excited about all of my future students! I can't wait to meet them and share my love of Spanish with them.

What has most surprised you (thus far) about language teaching?

There is no single correct way to teach or learn a language. It takes a combination of different approaches, and it is a constant process of trial and error.

What makes an amazing language learner?

A terrific language learner is someone who goes beyond the classroom with their education. They seek out opportunities big and small to practice their language.

They know it's OK to make mistakes and that mistakes are actually a very important part of the learning process.
