What are you most excited about when you think of your future classroom?

I am really excited to build positive relationships with students and create a safe environment for learning. I am also excited to grow students' interest in learning languages and about different cultures.

What activities or experiences would you say have most prepared you to enter the classroom or profession?

While learning how to be an educator, my observations of other teachers and my student teaching experience have prepared me the most for this profession. I learned so much from my cooperating teachers and from my experience teaching classes by myself for an entire semester.

Additionally, my experiences abroad have also prepared me to be a language teacher. I will be able to use the language and cultural knowledge that I learned abroad to better teach my students.

A great language educator brings many different cultures into the classroom and curriculum so students grow their global knowledge and respect for all people in our world. They make the language classroom a place that is fun and welcoming for all learners.
